How to experience every Exhal fragrance at its best, in each format.
Reed diffuser (250 ml / 500 ml)
Placement
Place the diffuser on a stable surface, away from direct heat, sunlight and strong draughts, which accelerate evaporation and shorten the life of the fragrance. Moderate airflow — near a doorway rather than an open window — helps the scent diffuse more evenly.
Fragrance intensity
The more reeds you use and the more often you turn them, the stronger the fragrance will be. For a subtler presence, use fewer reeds or turn them less frequently. We recommend turning them every 7–14 days for an even release.
Approximate duration
— 250 ml diffuser: 2–3 months under normal conditions
— 500 ml diffuser: 4–6 months under normal conditions
Actual duration varies according to temperature, exposure and how often the reeds are turned.
When to refill
When the liquid is nearly finished or the fragrance becomes less noticeable, use an Exhal 500 ml diffuser refill. The reeds may be reused, although for the best performance we recommend replacing them after two refills: over time, they become saturated and absorb less effectively.
Caution
The liquid is alcohol-based and flammable. Keep the diffuser away from naked flames and out of the reach of children and pets. Avoid contact with delicate surfaces such as untreated wood or porous marble. Wipe away any spills immediately.
Candle (90 g)
First burn
Allow the wax to melt to the edges of the vessel — approximately 2–3 hours on the first burn. This helps the candle burn evenly throughout its life and prevents tunnelling.
Each burn
Trim the wick to approximately 5 mm before each use. Do not burn the candle for more than 3–4 hours at a time. Place it on a stable, heat-resistant surface, away from draughts, curtains and flammable materials.
End of life
For safety, stop using the candle when approximately 1 cm of wax remains.
Caution
Never leave a burning candle unattended. Keep out of the reach of children and pets.
Room spray (100 ml)
How to use
Shake well before use. Spray upwards or towards the centre of the room from a distance of approximately 20–30 cm. Avoid direct contact with delicate fabrics or untreated wood. To fragrance textiles such as curtains or bed linen, test first on an inconspicuous area.
Best suited to
Refreshing a room in moments, preparing an entrance before guests arrive, or scenting transitional spaces where continuous diffusion is not practical.
